Antistatic shoes protect against electrostatic build-up and help prevent uncontrolled electrical discharges and sparking. Shoes with a volume resistance of between 100 kiloohms and 1 gigaohm are considered antistatic. For particularly sensitive electronic components, ESD shoes with enhanced antistatic features are used.
Check whether antistatic shoes are sufficient in your working environment or whether ESD shoes are mandatory. Use the filter functions and product information in the STRAUSS Online Shop to find suitable antistatic or ESD-certified models. If you are unsure which equipment you require, ask your company’s safety officer or the relevant employers’ liability insurance association.
